So, in the middle of everything today, we ran across a hellaciously distressed momma mallard and a bunch of her baby ducks that had fallen down a sewer grate. Another guy was already trying to fish them out, so my friend and I called animal control before we tried to fish the rest of them out. When Animal Control got there, we had all of them out and the mother duck quacking very happily. I was surprised - none of us got snapped at or hurt. I was even holding onto a bag at one point that had all of them in it and she just watched me.

I love how the duck is perched on the guy’s butt

There used to be the comfort of a number in your phone and ears that listened everyday and arms that were never for anyone else. But just to calm you down when you started feeling trapped in a five-minute period where nostalgia is too much and thoughts of this person you are feel foreign. When you realize that you’ll never be this young again but this is the first time you’ve ever been this old. When you can’t remember how you got from sixteen to here and all the same feel like sixteen is just as much of a stranger to you now. The song is over. The coffee’s done. You’re going to breathe in and out. You’re going to be fine in about five minutes.”

Many of you have probably heard of the CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch’s controversial and flat out rude comments that the company doesn’t sell XL or XXL sizes for women because they want “cool” people to wear their clothes. Well, this blogger wrote an open letter to Jeffries and included these photos of herself and what is considered a “typical” male model body type.

Some quotes from her letter:

“The only thing you’ve done through your comments (about thin being beautiful and only offering XL and XXL in your stores for men) is reinforce the unoriginal concept that fat women are social failures, valueless, and undesirable.”

“This is largely attributed to companies like yours that perpetuate the thought that fat women are not beautiful. This is inaccurate, but if someone were to look through your infamous catalog, they wouldn’t believe me.”

“P.P.S. You should know your Large t-shirt comfortably fits a size 22. You might want to work on that.”

This has to do with fashion, though perhaps not in the way this blog has so far posted. But this sort of confidence is the sort of thing that we want our choices in clothes to reflect. You should be able to wear whatever you want and feel confident - no matter what other people may say or think.

Absolutely disgusting.

You know what I hate, the comments on CNN and other news forums. Americans think this is an act towards them, and it’s respectively not. It was an attack on England. Instead of making it about us, we must support and comfort our allies. This is so disgusting. Who are these two men to be judge of who pays for what happened in his country. They are not jury and judge. May it be in the name of Allah, God, or Buddha, that young man did not deserve that. No one deserves that. Also, they give such a bad name for Muslims who are peaceful. I know not all are so radical.

Prayers to that man’s family, may they be able to find closure. So tragic.
